Chill vibes all around. Perfect to run while eating dinner.

How did this slip under the radar so hard? It's basically a full game for free! Really cool mechanic too!

I never in a million years thought this game would get the Ruffle treatment. I thought the creators vanished off the face of the earth back in 2012. There are some oddities with the conversion (buggy text boxes), but that doesn't really matter. This is one of those legendary web games that everyone should play.

This is an awesome concept! You can, however, get so OP that you don't even have to move to kill the bosses. It's awesome when you reach that point, but it happens a bit too early for my tastes.

This is my favorite flash game from when I was a kid, and it still holds up, at least on an emulator. I can't wait for it to turn up on Ruffle so I can play it properly.

Not bad!

On the one hand, I love this as a celebration of all things Newgrounds. Those character bios and links are a great way to introduce people. On the other hand, the actual snowboarding is pretty shallow. Two ideas that might help with that: Giving a score bonus based on how many tricks you perform in a sequence, and implementing some basic physics when spinning in the air to make it harder to stop. Both would make the snowboarding much more engaging and rewarding to master.

MSGhero responds:

Thanks for the feedback! There is (or should be...) acceleration in the air, but it may need tweaking.

It could use some sound effects for the various interactions you can do, but that's the only real issue I have with the game. I can tell a lot of passion went into this, and I can't wait to see what comes next. (no pressure)

toffeescoffees responds:

thank you so much! we will def add sound effects in the future ^_^ im glad you enjoyed the game!

My first time beating the game took around 22 minutes, the second time took around 7. The physics are silly, but they can be mastered.

It's definitely based on Madness Interactive, but the small things, like being able to block and see your health bar, make all the difference for how the game feels to play.

Stepford responds:

We took a few elements, and then did our own thing with them! I'm glad you had fun!

I generally keep to myself. Grew up with flash games since I was a kid. In addition to gaming, I'm also a solid writer.
