I played this a lot way back when! Even if the game is basic, the art holds up amazingly for a game made in 2004.

Imagine if the imposters had to go through this every time they vented. Solid game with a lot of content and production value. I, too, got soft-locked at the second level lightning rods guarding an ID card.
UPDATED 4/18: Some small gameplay tweaks have made a world of difference to how this game feels to play. It's honestly good enough to be an enjoyable speedrun, and that is a huge complement to the gameplay feel. The game was already good, but now it's become one of my new favorites.
I didn't think this would be anything special at first glance, but it's actually a lot of fun!

I like it for the memes and the history, though it is pretty basic by today's standards.
It's just plain fun! My only critique is that the text for the difficulty selection is pretty small and hard to read, but that's minor.
Thanks! Fair critique, I've increased the text size for all the menus now.
I got a build going where I could fire 12 nukes with one button press, both in front and behind at the same time, with all the nukes bouncing. If you've played Binding of Issac, this should feel very familiar.
Two notable issues I had. The big one is that there doesn't seem to be any way to check the parts you have, so it's not immediately obvious that a new part will break your build or not. Second is that the screen resolution doesn't fit on a standard laptop. The game's clearly meant for a phone, but still.
I gave a pretty harsh review of the first game a little bit ago. You'll be happy to know that this game is a massive improvement in every way and addresses everything I originally complained about. It's a bit weird to have the story resolved in a cutscene and not a proper boss fight with the general, but that's my only real problem. Considering how old this game is, it's remarkably high quality.
This game doesn't hold up well with age. Camera is zoomed in too close to be comfortable when platforming, which is made worse when dying causes you to lose all your upgrades. Not that it matters that much, since the enemies usually aren't that dangerous compared to the platforming.
Do I rate this good because it is a 15 year old game that I played as a kid? Or do I rate it low because of it's flaws? I'll put it in the middle.
Incredibly fun. One of the classics to be sure.
(best score: 365 in enhanced mode)
It's fun and polished, even if it wears it's inspirations on it's sleeve. The black sword is especially fun to use. I gather there's a secret if you beat the game with both swords, but I haven't figured out how to activate it.
Thank you very much for playing! And I'm very sorry because there are no more secrets after completing the black sword mode... But if there is a chance, I would like to expand it into a full game too.
And thanks a lot for completing the game too!
I generally keep to myself. Grew up with flash games since I was a kid. In addition to gaming, I'm also a solid writer.
