It's simple, but the animations and music are on point!

My Best Score: 4451

Once again, you guys are fantastic at simple games with massive production values. I like how you get more abilities, and how they combine later on. I can't find a way to replay old levels, though. Also, every time you die, you have to read the text boxes and select the level again, when you could just move back to the level start in a couple seconds. The final ability is also a bit buggy if used too soon after a double jump.

Hello! Thank you so much for your kind comment!

We intend to make accessing levels faster in later versions. In the meantime, you can use the "R" key to restart a level!

You made something this good in 9 days? I am blown away!

I first learned about Monster Sanctuary here, and now I'm back after playing the final version on Steam. If you like to spend hours combing through stat sheets and skill lists to create the perfect teams, this game is paradise. It is very complex, and expects a lot by the end, so it's not very accessible for casual monster collecting fans, but veterans will have a lot to sink their teeth into. If you like this demo, I'll just say that the final game has a ton of content and is absolutely worth the buy. (also, there are a lot of improvements and fixes that aren't in this demo)

The best kind of game. Simple to understand, but hard to master. Presentation is top notch as well!

For those struggling, my hint is that the parts don't fall randomly. If you figure out the rules for what parts drop where at different phases of gameplay, you will go far.

MartinJacob responds:

Thank you so much! And congrats!

Pretty fun, though Cassandra's fight lagged into oblivion for some reason.

You know, the old computer I first played this on could only run the game at like 10 FPS, and that was slow enough that little kid me could beat it no problem. I am playing it now at full speed for the first time and it's a completely different beast.

I was about to say it was really simple to deal with Sadmin, but then the other guys showed up. Amazingly, I won after my power ran out. The generators are a brilliant idea.

(I got all achievements too, so I didn't run into the bugs other reviews were talking about)

Boy did this game turn out to be prophetic.

The-EXP responds:

Boy, howdy!

K.O.L.M hasn't been converted to Ruffle, but I hope it does someday. It's been about 10 years since I first played it and even though I didn't remember the name, the experience still stuck with me. It's basically a Metroidvania taken to the logical conclusion. You start off with literally nothing, not even working eyes, and by the end you become literally invincible. The story might be a little predictable, but it's told in a fun way. Definitely an underrated gem.

The-EXP responds:

Thanks for the lovely words!

I generally keep to myself. Grew up with flash games since I was a kid. In addition to gaming, I'm also a solid writer.
